A special end of year mix from one of Australia’s rising electronic acts.
It’s been a bumper year for the young electronica trio known as Seekae. With a very well received sophomore album, +Dome (that has found it’s way onto many an end of year list), a national tour supporting post-dubstep heavyweights Mount Kimbie as well as a recent spell successfully touring their brilliant live show in the UK, the lads are without a doubt breaking through to the world scene.
Whilst basking in the glow of a well deserved 2011, Seekae have kindly found the time to prepare an exclusive mix for us, with George Nicholas taking to the decks to record a set that should nicely complement all your end of and new year shenanigans.
Displaying where some of their influences stem from, the mix consists of much of the mutating house, bass and broken beat sounds that have been emerging from the UK and dominating the electronic scene the past few years, though also fits in some local flavours as well. You will hear from international producers like Martyn, Scuba and Floating Points right through to names like 48/4 from the oneofour collective – a Sydney based group of beat makers.
